Accessibility For All

Built for every visitor.

At Mill Neck Center for the Deaf, accessibility is not an add-on — it is the founding premise of our entire organization. This commitment extends to our website, our campus, our communications, and every interaction we have with the community we serve.

Web Accessibility

Our website accessibility commitment.

Mill Neck Center for the Deaf is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continuously work to improve the user experience for everyone, and we apply the relevant accessibility standards.

This website is designed to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Physical Accessibility

Visiting our campus.

The Mill Neck Manor campus includes accessible parking, ramps at primary entrances, and ADA-compliant restrooms in our main buildings. The Manor House itself is a 1925 historic landmark, and while we have made significant accessibility accommodations, certain historic features (such as the original staircases) cannot be modified.

If you have specific accessibility questions before a visit, please contact us in advance at 516-922-4100 — we will work with you to ensure the best possible experience.
