We are part of Mill Neck Center for the Deaf and have proudly served the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community for decades โ€” creating inclusive, person-centered pathways to success across Long Island and beyond.

Meet Donald.

Nearly Four Decades at Honda City

From overcoming the impossible to building a 38-year career.

From overcoming the challenges of being born Deaf and living with polio to building a nearly four-decade-long career, Donald Mingo is the definition of perseverance.

After regaining the ability to walk and discovering his voice through American Sign Language at Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf, Donald went on to become one of the first participants in Mill Neck's supported employment program. Since 1986, he's been a beloved, dependable team member at Honda City โ€” where his dedication, positive attitude, and infectious laughter continue to uplift everyone around him.
