Aging well, in your language.
Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing seniors face unique challenges as they age — communication barriers in healthcare, social isolation, difficulty accessing senior programs, and a shrinking community of peers. Mill Neck Senior Services exists to meet those needs head-on.
Most senior services were not built for Deaf elders.
Senior centers, healthcare systems, and aging-in-place services across the country were built for the hearing world. For Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing seniors — many of whom grew up in eras when ASL was suppressed and accommodation was rare — accessing later-life supports can feel newly isolating.
Mill Neck Senior Services bridges that gap. We provide programs, advocacy, social engagement, and connection to resources — all in ASL, all designed for the Deaf elder experience.
